Stable and beta updates
Wild OS updates come on two channels.
| Channel | What you get |
|---|---|
| Stable | Tested releases. The right choice for a computer you rely on. |
| Beta | New features and fixes first, before they reach Stable. Occasionally something might not work quite right. |
Switching
Section titled “Switching”Go to Settings > Updates > Update channel and choose Stable or Beta. Wild OS asks for your password, then checks for updates on the new channel.
You can switch back from Beta to Stable at any time. Wild OS’s own apps then move to their Stable versions with the next update, even where that means going back a version, so you end up exactly on Stable.
Helping test
Section titled “Helping test”If you’re on Beta and something breaks, please report it and mention you’re on the Beta channel.
