Report a problem

Wild OS is in early alpha, and every report helps. Report problems on GitHub at github.com/wildorigins/wildos/issues.

What to include

The most useful reports have:

1. Your computer’s make and model, for example “Dell XPS 13 9310”. It’s in Settings > System > About.
2. What you did, step by step.
3. What you expected, and what happened instead.
4. The exact words of any message, or a photo or screenshot of it. Press Print Screen for a screenshot.
5. Whether you started in UEFI or BIOS mode, for start-up and install problems.
6. Your update channel, Stable or Beta, from Settings > Updates.

For an install that didn’t finish, attach installation.log from the trial desktop’s Home folder.

Windows programs

To tell us how a Windows program runs in Windows mode, include its name and version, whether it installed, and what did or didn’t work. It helps everyone else using the same program.

Security problems

Found a security problem? Please don’t open a public issue. Report it privately instead, so it can be fixed before anyone can misuse it.
