| Not available while Windows Fast Startup is on | Turn off Fast Startup in Windows’ Power Options. |
| Not available until Windows is shut down fully | Start Windows, then hold Shift while you choose Shut down. |
| Windows needs 40 GB free for this | Free up space in Windows: empty the Recycle Bin and clear out Downloads. |
Wild OS cannot be installed on this computer
Section titled “Wild OS cannot be installed on this computer”The card below it says what’s missing. Most often it’s the disk: Wild OS needs at least 40 GB. Choose another disk if the computer has one.
Part of this disk is in use by the live session
Section titled “Part of this disk is in use by the live session”You’re trying to install onto the USB stick Wild OS is running from. Pick the computer’s own disk instead.
Running on battery
Section titled “Running on battery”Plug the computer in. An install that stops halfway because the battery ran out can leave the disk unusable until you install again.
The install did not finish
Section titled “The install did not finish”The installer says what went wrong and saves a log called installation.log in the Home folder of the trial desktop. Copy it to a USB stick before you restart, because the trial forgets everything when it shuts down, then send it to us.
